Spam + Rice + Ketchup

You havent lived til you’ve had spam, rice and ketchup.

Call me crazy! DO IT! But its good.

You want me to explain? Elaborate?

Ok… Its meat. If you didnt know that I suggest you google it or wiki it. Im not a scientist.

Fry it. Its best when its fried.

Add some rice. Preferably steamed white rice.

Add some ketchup.

Eat.

There is a stigma with SPAM. Thanks to all the crazy urban legends and what not.

But dont knock it til you’ve tried it.

    I’ve had this meal now for years, and is considered in my top 3 favorite dishes. Probably number 2, maybe 1. I can’t find it anymore, but instead of catsup I’d use Dijonaise. Holy damn, it’s like finding a jar of peanuts in a pound of wool. Your method described is perfect.

    You should elaborate on your cooking method. I like to slice the Spam in parts about a 1/4" thick, maybe a little less, starting from either the top or bottom and working toward the opposite.. Fry in skillet on medium to high heat. Flip ocassionally. They are done when they are a perfect color of redish brown, almost like a canned steak or something, a little rare in the middle, but not raw. Serve with rice. Djionaise optional (ketchup optionall as well).
